Discovering Mindful Caregiving for Professionals, Thursday, Nov. 15th, 9:30am-5pm

Mindful Caregiver Education empowers professional caregivers to care for themselves, so they can better care for those who are living with terminal illness. Zen’s classes equip caregivers with the tools they need to manage stress, exhaustion, and anxiety, ultimately becoming more resilient in their role as caregiver. Event to take place at The Community at Marquis Tualatin, 19805 SW Boones Ferry Rd., Tualatin, OR 97062

Open Death Conversation Evening Gathering, Thursday, Nov. 15th, 7pm-8:30pm

Zen’s Open Death Conversation is a gathering to discuss the many aspects of death and dying. We are not attached to any outcome. We do not direct the conversation. Everyone is invited; we only ask that participants show up with an open heart and open mind and allow themselves to go where they need to go. Through conversation, we bring death out into the open. Event to take place at Touchmark in the West Hills, 840 SW Touchmark Way, Portland, OR 97225

Discovering Mindful Caregiving for Volunteer and Family Caregivers, Saturday, Nov. 17th, 9:30am-5pm

Give Back to the Giver Week (Hospice Care Partner Appreciation)
(Nov. 12 – Nov. 16)

Although we do truly appreciate all of our partners 365 days of the year, this is our chance to thank our hospice partners. The purpose of this campaign is to raise awareness and honor the work of nurses, physicians, social workers, chaplains and volunteers that work with hospice and palliative care patients and their families.
For one week, (in lieu of gifting flowers to hospice and palliative care patients), our bouquets will be donated to these individuals to recognize and express our gratitude for the special work they do within our community
